Paint.NET is a free editing tools for images and photo, Paint.NET run on windows. Paint.NET has many intuitive features, and attractive user interface, also supporting layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and many variety of powerfull and usefull tools. It has an active and growing online comunnity which provides friendly helps, tutorials, and plugins. Paint.NET started as an undergraduate college senior design project which mentored by Microsoft, and it is being maintained by some alumni that originally was work on Paint.NET, originally it is came as a free replacement for microsoft paint that came as default program with windows, yet it has become as a powerfull but simple image and photo editor, and also can be compared to adobe photoshop, core paint shop pro, and GIMP. Paint.NET created based on C# with GDI+ extensions, it has many powerfull features that premium application had, including the ability to use layer.

What’s New in version 3.5.3:

* Fixed DirectDraw Surface (.dds) file format support for CPUs which do not have SSE2 (Pentium III, Athlon XP).
* Fixed an issue with the File->Save dialog related to file type plugins that were only written for opening (importing).
* Fixed some crashes which were supposed to be “out of memory” errors.
* Fixed a race condition with the New Image, Canvas Size, and Resize dialogs. If you typed extremely fast you could cause a crash by typing a negative number and immediately pressing OK or Enter.
* Fixed a File->Save dialog issue in Win7/Vista where it could ask you about overwriting the wrong file.
