File identifier is a line of order tool which allows the identification of various files, as well as to extract the meta-data related to these files. Moreover, the part of identification of the software is based on a database of the texts (similar to the magic file of UNIX) which can easily be modified and prolonged.
Identify currently approximately 600 formats of file, and extracted the meta-data starting from approximately 30 important formats of file including/understanding the pdf, the png, OLD MAN (Doc.), the RIFF (AVI, VAGUENESS), IF (AIFF, ILBM), the EXE, SGML (HTML), the rtf, the MP3, PPP (WMA, WMV), the tiff and the JPEG.
On option the meta-data can be saved with a database which is compatible with files of description 4DOS/4NT. The tool can also produce simple reports/ratios of HTML which are configurable via CS, as well as the compatible files of checking of integrity CRC-32 of SFV.
File Identifier also automatically detects meta-data included of xmp and traces all the meta-data extracted with the diagrams from XMP (dublincore including – OIN 15836 of ref.) for easy classification. In conclusion, the identified files are classified according to their types of types of MIME, mark of format of file (FFID) and prolongations of file.
The extraction of the meta-data stored in multiple languages is also constant.
It is the version of freeware. The professional version also supports reports/ratios of economy to the files of CSV of all the extracted meta-data.
